Pusha Teas was born from a simple belief: wellness should never feel out of reach.Our journey begins with hibiscus, a flower whose story spans continents and generations. In West Africa, it is known as Bissap in Senegal, Sobolo in Ghana, and Zobo in Nigeria. During the transatlantic slave trade, hibiscus seeds are believed to have traveled with Africans who were forced from their homes, carried as a connection to memory, nourishment, and culture.As those traditions spread across the Americas, the drink became known by many names: Agua de Jamaica throughout Latin America, Sorrel across the Caribbean, and in many Black communities throughout the Southern United States, simply "Red Drink."Pusha Teas honors that shared legacy with handcrafted hibiscus teas made from real ingredients and bold flavors.
